Today I got my yearly review at work.
And I didn't sign it.
Instead, I wrote an email to my facility manager, asking if it was proper for me to get a review without my manager even sitting down with me to go over it. I've never seen a review, no matter how good it is, written as only a summary without talking about any of the employee's strengths and weaknesses and/or a roadmap to improvement. Even more perplexing, how can this guy write a review about someone that he's only talked to barely a handful of times in the whole fucking year!? Am I not worth anyone's time if I'm being paid to do my job and do it well, no matter how little follow-up is needed where I'm concerned?
Shit is going to hit the fan tomorrow, and it may be as unpleasant for me as it is to the managers involved.
